Meet Sensei Nathan
Sensei Nathan is the owner and head instructor of NCK Sutton. He began studying martial arts in 1995 at NCK Plainville under Shihan Maryanne Weeden, and later under Kyoshi Peter Joseph Smith. Sensei Nathan began teaching in Plainville in the early 2000’s, earning the title of Sensei in 2005. From 2006 to 2013, he served as a Cavalry Scout in the US Army, deploying three times to Afghanistan. Sensei Nathan then resumed his education at Brown University and later at New York University, where he is months away from earning his PhD in Ancient History and Archaeology; he has also taught as an Adjunct Professor at New York University and Worcester State University. In all of that time, Sensei Nathan continued to develop his martial arts and teaching practices, preparing to one day open his own martial arts school. However, none of this would have been possible without the support of his wife Maggie and his son Arthur. They are so excited to start their new community and look forward to welcoming you into their Dojo family!
